When you join our Journalism classes at The Ohio State University, you become part of class newsroom that will immerse you in the world of print, digital and multimedia journalism. Our goal: You will leave these classes ready to be hired by a news or communication entity, and you will be a leading contributor from the first day.
We don’t waste time, and we don’t do busy work. Instead, we devote our time together to learning how to participate in both the long-held and the constantly changing roles journalism skills play in our free society. Yes, we learn to write and use social- and multimedia like journalists, but even more importantly, we learn to think like journalists: to crave news, to see stories that might hide from the less insightful, to coax out facts and personal stories others might miss. We don’t learn to act like journalists–we learn to be journalists.
Shall we get started?
